As a form of NYC subway therapy, I decided to try to for a new approach/style for the forests. I had been working on for the Seven cities map. It was my first foray into creating maps on my iPad 2018. I was using Procreate and it didn’t have the number of layers to do a full map, so I decided to just do the forests in isolation.
I decided that Procreate is good for smaller projects. On the iPad 2018 with not a lot of computing power, Procreate cannot produce the number of layers I need for a full scale map. Perhaps when I get better, I won’t need that many layers.
It took me more than 10 hours (a full week!) of shading in the tree ruffles.
The goal of this effort was to get my skills up on the iPad.
